Maresia

Cascais, Portugal

The arrival area is located in a central space that directs and separates the circulation of two restaurants. On the lower floor is the MARESIA restaurant. Its more relaxed and informal atmosphere is reflected in the simplicity of the materials, the use of color, and the graphic elements—fish—that adorn the walls. The glossy white hexagonal tiles become a signature feature, clearly alluding to fish scales through their repetitive geometry and shine. At the back of the dining room, a large glass pane connects with the exterior, extending the interior space and creating a direct connection to the sea of the Bay of Cascais. Occasionally, the choice of wood cladding on certain vertical surfaces highlights the arrival, waiting, and circulation areas.
